How to Give Back During Tough Economic Times: Tips for Business Owners and Professionals

During this 2008 Holiday season, it can be hard to find money in your budget to donate to charities. But there are many other ways for business owners and other individuals to give back to the community that allow you to support charitable causes throughout the year.

The need for individual and business giving this year is even greater because of the uncertain economy -- just as charitable causes fear donations will be decreasing, the demand for their services is increasing. All of this is happening as charities enter their key fundraising period of the year -- between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.

Despite the unstable economy many business owners continue to find ways to give back to non-profit organizations, pay employees more than minimum wage, and steer their businesses through these rough waters.

Francine Allen-Humphrey a 17 year business veteran is the CEO of Issues Concerning Women, Inc., Clean Sweep Cleaning Services, is such a person. Ms. Humphrey will share several tips on how a business can still give back to their communities even during this challenging economic period.
